Ondanks dat Mighty Mike al vooruitblikt naar de eindstrijd, weet hij goed dat elke toernooi in ronde 1 begint. "Ik ben er op gebrand om mijn titel te verdedigen, maar eerst focus ik me op de eerste wedstrijd tegen Stephen Bunting", schrijft Van Gerwen.
