Het Noord-Ierse duo Daryl Gurney en Brendan Nolan ligt al na 1 ronde uit de World Cup of Darts. Devon Petersen en Vernon Bouwers waren donderdagavond met 5-4 te sterk, waardoor de Zuid-Afrikanen doorgaan naar de volgende ronde.
Noord-Ierland kreeg kansen genoeg om de partij binnen te slepen, maar Dolan miste bijvoorbeeld 2 matchdarts. Hier profiteerde Zuid-Afrika optimaal van.
