Van Barça tot Griezmann: de hele voetbalwereld steunt uit de kast gekomen voetballer

Het moet een spannend moment zijn geweest voor Joshua Cavallo, toen hij deze week uit de kast kwam. Cavallo is namelijk profvoetballer en in de voetbalwereld is het ongebruikelijk om openbaar homoseksueel te zijn. Onzin, natuurlijk, maar wel de realiteit. Gelukkig krijgt de 21-jarige Australiër steun van allerlei grote namen.

Van Gerard Pique tot Antoine Griezmann, van Hertha BSC tot FC Barcelona: Cavallo kan op veel steun rekenen. Pique zei bijvoorbeeld: "Ik wil je bedanken voor deze stap die je zet. De voetbalwereld loopt ver achter en jij helpt ons vooruit."
