Een 2e verrassing op het World Cup of Darts! Nadat eerder al Noord-Ierland werd uitgeschakeld, is ook voor Wales het doek gevallen. Singapore was met 5-3 te sterk.
Voor Singapore stonden Paul Lim en Harith Lim (geen familie) aan de oche. Wales trad aan met Gerwyn Price en Jonny Clayton. Dat laatste duo brak Singapore bij een stand van 1-1, maar kon de voorsprong in de eigen leg niet uitbreiden want het Aziatische duo brak direct terug. Zo ging het duel lang gelijk op, tot Singapore bij een 4-3 voorsprong Wales brak en zo de winst pakte.
